About Dr. Skalak
Dr. Skalak is a highly skilled Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon. Born and raised in Ohio, he has made his home in Eastern North Carolina. Anthony was active and interested in sports while he attended Central Catholic High School in Canton, OH. He received a full academic scholarship and medical school acceptance to attend Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. In Greenville he loves to stay active with his wife and children, travel, continuously learn and improve in the orthopedic field, teach, and attend local sporting events.
Through his extensive training he performs a variety of orthopedic services ranging from fracture care and has developed an expertise in joint replacement surgeries. Dr. Skalak maintains close relationships with a global network of other skilled physicians to provide appropriate and innovative care for his patients.
Patients are seen at Orthopaedics East at 810 W.H Smith Boulevard. Dr. Skalak performs surgeries at Vidant Medical Center or Vidant SurgiCenter in Greenville, N.C.
His goal is to not only relieve his patients of their pain but also restore or improve them to their previous level of function. Dr. Skalak uses minimally invasive techniques, computer-assisted technology, and protocols specifically tailored to each patient.
